Combining OTC trading experience with significant technology know-how and proven ability in establishing top teams, Dr. Tsiounis established BestQuotes in 2004 after recognizing the inefficiencies of the OTC markets.
Before BestQuotes, Yiannis was a partner at Etolian Capital since 2003; consulted for Concord, EFS (now acquired by First Data Corp.) since 2002; founded and was the CTO of InternetCash (an Internet Payments company) in 1999; and was a Senior Researcher for GTE Labs (now Verizon) since 1995.
Dr. Tsiounis holds a Ph.D. in Cryptography (Electronic Payments), a MSc in Computer Science, and a BSc in Mathematics.
With 15 years of experience in architecting and hands-on developing of complex systems, in both large enterprises (AT&T) and technology-focused companies (AusPrices.com), Cameron brings enterprise-level quality to BQuotes' systems.
Mr. Gregory holds a University Medal and BSc(Hons) with double major in Mathematics and Computer Science.
Before joining Bquotes, Kyriakos was the CEO of Phaiax, Inc. for 10 years, a US based Business consulting firm specialising in SAP software integration in the technology sector.
Kyriakos holds a MSc in Engineering Management from Northeastern University, a BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from National Technical University of Athens, and a MA in Music Composition from Guildhall School of Music.
ADVISORY BOARD
For four years after Jamie Dimon became head of Bank One, Mr. Freund acted as his advisor. He developed solutions and strategies for multiple businesses, including asset management, private equity, lockbox and credit cards. He filed six patents, including two for arbitrage strategies.
In 1996, he founded CertCo Inc., to create a 'trusted infrastructure' for global, industrial strength transactions over insecure public networks; and organized the charter members of the Identrus PKI (Barclays, BoA, Chase, Citi, Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust).
Prior to CertCo, Freund was a Senior Managing Director with Bankers Trust, managing traders in foreign exchange; European interest rates; US treasuries; tax exempts and mortgages; and commodities. In 1990 he initiated the credit derivative business, and ran it for three years.
Before Bankers Trust, he spent 10 years at Goldman Sachs, the first seven in public finance and M&A, and the last three founding Goldman's highly successful OTC fixed income options business.
Freund personally funded a state-of-the-art virtual machine for Java. In 1997, Sun Microsystems bought the company and its 'HotSpot' compiler and garbage collection are still at the center of Sun's Java virtual machine.
Freund holds a BSc in EE from M.I.T. and a JD from the Georgetown University Law Center.
A Harvard MBA graduate, Daniel has demonstrated that he can provide strategic advantages to a variety of businesses across several different markets. Daniel's extensive experience in the banking and finance industries, his credibility in these markets, and his strategic ideas add a top advisory member to BestQuotes' team.
An authority in speech recognition and with significant experience in the design of real-time A.I. Systems both in academia and in the industry, George brings to BestQuotes' research team a new dimension that combines pragmatic and state-of-the-art approaches to BestQuotes' natural language processing systems. George is currently running the research & development team of eScription.
George holds a Ph.D. in Speech Recognition, and a MS and BS in Electrical Engineering.
